    Hey all!

I have great announcement to make. A new EP by me has been released and is available for purchase. But this is not all. To make this release even more exciting it includes an interactive web page complete with a complete backstory to all of the music. It is sure to really bring you into the mood.

If you don't feel like reading the story it's fine too. Just listen to the music and enjoy the pictures. Also if you enjoy it, please help me to recoup the expenses of this release by buying it from Bandcamp.

Also I would really love to hear your feelings on this release if you enjoyed it. There was a considerable effort put into this release, so I'd love to get some comments if possible. :)

    Start here: http://mars.clysuva.com

Special thanks go out to mxb from #renoise IRC for helping me with the texts and Christopher Leary from Melograf.com for giving a final polish to the tunes.

Prince Charles takes on energy giants with biogas plant

It is hoped the plant will produce more than 106 million cubic feet of methane each year ? enough to provide gas to the Prince Charles' model village of Poundbury on the outskirts of Dorchester, Dorset, and homes in the surrounding area.

The biogas plant has now been connected up to the National Grid to allow gas to be sold on the open market. During the winter, when gas use is highest, it could heat and be used for cooking in 4,000 homes while in the summer this could increase to 56,000 homes.

Andrew Phillips, rural director of finance at the Duchy of Cornwall, said: ?The Prince has been very interested in this project from the word go and the Duchy has provided the funding for it.

?As time has gone on, the Princes? interests and the world?s concerns have moved on to encompass sustainable energy. The plant has spun from that and a desire to provide energy for the Poundbury development.?

The biogas plant, which has been sited on Duchy of Cornwall owned farmland just outside Poundbury in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is expected to use around 41,000 tonnes of maize, grass silage and food waste each year.

Among those sending waste to the plant are Dorset Cereals and the House of Dorchester chocolate factories. The waste is fed through a series of containers as it is digested by bacteria and the gas extracted, purified and then sent into the National Grid.

Around a fifth of the gas will also be used to generate electricity for around 500 homes and for the plant itself, which is being run by a consortium called JV Energen.

There are around 88 biogas plants currently in the UK, but most are small scale and are used to generate electricity or provide heating for factories or farm estates.

It is estimated that around 100 million tonnes of material is produced in the UK each year that could be used to generate biogas, but plants are extremely expensive to set up.

Mr Phillips refused to say how much it had cost to build the Prince?s biogas plant in Dorset, but a similar sized plant in Scotland cost more than ?25 million.

By selling the gas into the National Grid, however, it will benefit from renewable heat subsidies set by the government.

Mr Phillips said: ?Our plant has been commercially built and we think it provides value for money.

?Clearly it is an area of outstanding natural beauty so we have been working closely with the planners to make it fit in, but the local community have been very supportive. It doesn?t produce any noticeable smell and we have tried to make the impact as little as possible.

?What is really attractive about this is that we are putting gas straight into people?s boilers, which are far more efficient than using the gas to generate electricity. People can be using the gas without even knowing there is renewable gas flowing through their pipes.

?The muck, called digestate, which we are left with at the end is a natural fertiliser, so we are putting that back onto the chalky soils in the group of farms we are working with.?

Researchers at the University of Aberdeen are among a number who are now attempting to find ways of reducing the cost of building biogas plants that use anaerobic digestion.

The Prince, however, hopes that if his own plant is successful it will act as a prototype that can be copied elsewhere in the country.

A spokesman for the Prince of Wales said: ?The Prince of Wales has long advocated the importance of protecting the planet?s finite resources and finding sustainable solutions to our energy needs. As a result, His Royal Highness has been consulted at every stage of this pioneering project as well as visiting the site throughout the development.?

Howard Mason, 49, a farmer in Dorset who is helping to supply maize for use in the plant, said the crop would be grown in fields that were being ?rested?.

He said: ?We used to grow oil seed rape as part of the crop rotation and sold it to Germany where it was used to make biofuels, but this allows us to produce a energy that can be used locally.

?The lovely thing about gas is that it is storable and can be used when you want it.?

Florida Classic returns to Citrus Bowl

Thousands of people are in Orlando for the 33rd annual Florida Blue Florida Classic.

But this year, for the first time in more than 50 years, FAMU fans will be cheering only for the football team, and not the famed Marching 100 band when the Rattlers take on the Bethune-Cookman University Wildcats.

The band has been sidelined after the hazing death of drum major Robert Champion following last year?s Florida Classic.

Fourteen band members were charged in Champion?s death, with 12 facing felonies. Brian Jones, the first defendant in the deadly hazing case, was sentenced last month to six months of community control, followed by two years of probation.

In May, FAMU's longtime band director, Julian White, unexpectedly announced his retirement. Two months later, university President James H. Ammons resigned.

The school's Board of Trustees issued no confidence votes for both of them.

Since their departures, current university leaders have promoted one of the most comprehensive anti-hazing programs in the country.

?Safety is one of our number one priorities,? said Dr. Larry Robinson, FAMU?s interim president. ?We don?t want anyone to have to worry about whether or not their sons and daughters have to worry about their safety as opposed to focusing their time and efforts on being the best student that they can.?

The plan was unveiled in June 2011. The following January, membership intake in student organizations was briefly suspended until new requirements were set in place.

When the fall semester began, students were required to attend interactive town hall meetings where hazing experts could answer their questions about old traditions that many thought were all right, but actually are not.

In 2013, students will have to sign a pledge not to participate in hazing of any kind before signing up for classes.

Champion's family has sued the university over their son's death.

Meanwhile, less attendees are expected for Saturday's game. According to Florida Citrus Sports, the upper bowl will be closed because of the lack of ticket sales.

Kickoff is set for 2 p.m Saturday.

India's DRS stance backfires on Mahendra Singh Dhoni as umpire errors mar opening test

    By Peter Hayter

    |

The folly of India's opposition to the Decision Review System was laid bare as umpires Aleem Dar and Tony Hill made six glaring errors.

    PICTURE DISPUTE

We are unable to carry live pictures from the First Test in Ahmedabad due to a dispute between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and international news organisations.

The BCCI has refused access to Test venues to established picture agencies Getty Images and Action Images and other Indian photographic agencies.

MailOnline consider this action to be a strike against? press freedom and supports the action to boycott BCCI imagery.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India have resisted the use of technology because of doubts over accuracy, particularly in relation to the Hawk-Eye system used for lbw decisions.

India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was seen wagging a finger and arguing with the umpires on a day which saw his side denied four plumb lbws.

His behaviour is likely to lead to disciplinary charges by the International Cricket Council, although his frustrations can be understood after Kevin Pietersen, Samit Patel and Alastair Cook, in each innings, all survived appeals which technology would have correctly given out.

England were also victim of two questionable lbw calls which resulted in the dismissals of Patel and Stuart Broad, prompting wicketkeeper Matt Prior to say: 'There's technology that can help in making split-second decisions so why wouldn't you use it?

On the receiving end: Mahendra Singh Dhoni has seen his team fall victim to some poor decisions

On the receiving end: Mahendra Singh Dhoni has seen his team fall victim to some poor decisions

'We've seen it in a number of series now where it's worked very well. It's not about trying to sneak wickets using technology. It's about eradicating major errors that can happen.'

Is The Miz Team Foley's secret weapon at Survivor Series?

It ain?t easy being awesome, but that?s the lot The Miz has chosen in life. From day one, Superstars have been trying to knock the self-proclaimed ?most must-see Superstar in history? off his lofty perch. They dismiss his title reigns, discount his victories (the man beat John Cena at WrestleMania, people), and generally treat him as somewhere between a cockroach and the white stuff that accumulates at the corner of your mouth when you?re really thirsty.

Most recently, Miz?s ranks of haters have expanded to include his Survivor Series teammates, although there?s something to be said for the fact Miz willingly jumped into the lion?s den when he defected from Team Ziggler (then?Team Punk) to Team Foley. Suddenly, Miz finds himself allied with 1) his most recent rival, Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston; 2) the man he won the WWE Championship from in 2010, Randy Orton; 3) his former NXT Rookie, Daniel Bryan, who currently hates him; and 4) Kane, whose history of unchecked rage has been covered at great length and needs not be repeated.

Here?s the thing, though: This ragtag band needs The Miz. Not only do they need him, but they also likely won?t win without him. Because whatever the perception is, Miz wins matches ? always has, and always will. He?s a WWE Triple Crown Champion who won?t take no for an answer and marches to his own drum. Despite the enduring (and mounting) animosity of his teammates, this lewd, crude, rude, bag-of-pre-chewed-food dude (yes we did) might just prove to be The Hardcore Legend?s ace in the hole at the fall classic. Apple's plunging stock price takes company out of $500 billion club

Apple (AAPL) has moved down from the stock market's nosebleed section.

For the first time in nearly six months, the Cupertino titan's market capitalization on Thursday dipped below $500 billion, pushing Apple out of a corporate winner's club it joined for the first time earlier this year.

As the overall markets fell, Apple shares dropped more than 2 percent, closing at $525.62 and leaving the somewhat humbled company's market cap at $494.45 billion, far below the high of nearly $660 billion it reached in September.

To some market watchers, it was

inevitable that Apple's high-flying shares would eventually come back down a little bit closer to earth.

"Everybody and their dog owned or wanted to own this stock, which was always a red flag to me,'' said Jack Hillis, a San Jose investment adviser who has bought Apple shares for his own retirement portfolio since 2010, seeing his investment triple. "When it was around $680, I had clients calling me and asking 'Is it going to $1,000?' And that concerned me, because it seemed like every institution already owned it, and since most institutions are limited in the amount of a security they can hold, who were the new buyers who were going to keep pushing it higher?"

Speculation is rampant over why Apple stock has slumped. Some blame

the overall markets, which have taken a full-bore postelection body slam in recent days, starting with the Dow plunging more than 300 points the day following President Barack Obama's victory at the polls. Apple has also experienced global supply-chain kinks, struggling to meet robust demand for its wildly popular iPhone 5, introduced in early September.

At the same time, competition is mounting in the hotly contested tablet market, where Apple rivals Samsung, Google (GOOG) and Amazon are coming on strong with their own products. And Microsoft's Surface, launched in October, marks the first time the software giant is gunning for Apple on hardware, its forte. Apple's tablet market share slid 50 percent during the third quarter from 60 percent a year earlier, while Samsung more than doubled its share to 18.4 percent, according to research firm IDC.

Throw in other factors -- like investors' concerns over the Euro-zone crisis and worries that the capital-gains tax rate will rise in 2013, prompting investors to dump Apple ahead of the change -- and you've got a recipe for share-price drop.

Still, says San Jose financial adviser Dave Samuels, any rumors of Apple's demise have probably been greatly exaggerated.

"Apple's had a tremendous rise, but as it becomes a more mature company, we have to temper our expectations a bit," Samuels said. "But Apple's our baby -- it's in our backyard, it's sitting on tons of cash, it makes great products, and Steve Jobs was a genius, so we have a higher bar for its stock price than we do, say, for Microsoft. So when Apple trips, everyone thinks 'My god, what's going on here?'"

Staff writer Jeremy C. Owens contributed to this story.

You Are a Good Parent | Attachment Matters

There are many ways of raising children. Of course.

Some parents breastfeed, some don?t, and for the most part, kids turn out fine. Some parents stay at home with their kids, some parents put their kids in daycare, and for the most part, kids turn out fine. Some parents enroll their children in public school, others homeschool, and for the most part, kids turn out fine. There certainly are parenting styles that are in need of improvement, to say it lightly, such as those that tend to be so strict that they could be labeled as abusive or those that are permissive enough to border on neglectful. But there is no one right way to parent, if your goal is to raise children who are functioning members of society.

That said, there are certain parenting goals ? and therefore, strategies ? than can give a child an edge as a functioning member of society, and secure parent-child attachment is one of them. Secure attachment, or the bond between a parent and a child that is wholesome and, well, secure, offers an advantage to a person by helping them handle stress, from everyday garden variety to major adversity, easier. Essentially, secure attachment lends a good self-esteem. Couple this with problem-solving skills and a general knowledge of healthy versus unhealthy coping skills, and you?ve got an excellent set of stress management skills. Good stress management is helpful not only for mental health but also physical health, and just plain overall well-being.

Parents who are passionate enough about a certain approach to parenting to try to spread the message, either through advocacy or through parent education, tend to come from two schools of thought: They may be those who found a certain approach to parenting to work well for them and their family, and want to share the good news, so to speak; or they may be those who believe that their approach to parenting, which obviously worked well for them and their family, is the one right way for all parents and children, and who then pass judgment on families who are different than they are. Most parents, though, I believe, I hope, understand that all families are different and that every parent is just doing what works best for them with what knowledge they have at the time and that sometimes we are all just trying to keep our heads above water and that, other times, we have wonderful moments of clarity and childrearing ease.

It is true that I practice Attachment Parenting, but do not see that any formula to parenting ? even the particular parenting choices I use ? to be ?the? way to parent. I breastfeed, but I do not think that if a child was not breastfed, that that child was neglected. I use positive discipline, but I do not think that if a child is spanked, that that child is abused necessarily. I use daycare sparingly, but I do not think that parents who use daycare regularly are shirking their responsibility as parents. I see us as all on the same side: We?re all trying to do the best we can with what we got. And every family is different. Certainly, I cannot judge anyone unless I have literally walked in their shoes.

Yet, my views of inclusive parenting certainly don?t mean anyone shares this idea. I have encountered both friends and family as well as strangers trying to persuade me that my parenting approach is wrong with arguments that, during the conversation, increasingly ?reach the realm of the ridiculous,? as I like to call it. One woman, in trying to convince me that I was holding my baby too much, told me that most infant injuries come when the caregiver holding the baby falls down. Somehow, I doubt this to be true. Could be the lack of statistics or reference.

In another example, when I revealed that my dates with my husband happen after the kids go to bed, my banker told me that having a date outside the house was a requirement for a healthy marriage. When I said that we don?t go anywhere anyway, because we try to be frugal plus I have so many food allergies that there is literally nowhere I can eat, and that our nightly date in-home during which we eat dessert or have a glass of wine, watch a movie, play a game, take walks, or just talk, seems to be working better for us than trying to plan a weekly date to do the same, she suggested that we bring the kids to her house so we can, as she phrased it, ?go back home and you two can just sit there looking at each other,? because apparently having a date is only a date, even if at home, if the kids are elsewhere. And, no, she wasn?t kidding or sarcastic ? she seemed genuinely interested in arranging this for me.

These comments usually leave me chuckling, though sometimes a bit annoyed if I?ve had one of those days where things just didn?t seem to be working in my favor. But I do try to take some time to consider the other person?s point of view. And it always comes down to a completely different family situation, and a corresponding philosophy. The ?don?t hold your baby too much? lady ? she is of an older generation where cry-it-out sleep training and scheduled infant feedings were the norm, and so was the old misguided adage that holding a baby too much would spoil it. That?s how she parented; that?s how everyone probably parented in her generation. And now, decades later, even as times have changed and parenting trends have changed and more research reveals what parenting strategies work or don?t work, her experience is in those parenting practices that she used.

The ?date nights? woman ? she works full time at the bank and puts her kids in daycare, and her husband works full time and then goes to school part time in the evenings, and they just don?t plain see each other as much as my husband and I do. So, planning a weekly date night is really important for her and her husband, because there is so much competing for both of their attentions, including their children. Both examples are completely opposite of how I work and how my family works. My parenting ideas wouldn?t necessarily work for them, and theirs don?t work for me.

It?d be wonderful to finally put the ?Mommy wars? to rest, but it is human nature that we feel so vulnerable in this area of our lives ? as parents ? and therefore, so easily judged and able to so easily judge others, as we try to rectify in our minds that we are, indeed, doing this whole childrearing thing the right way. You probably are doing it the right way, for you and your child, but so is the mother down the street who is doing everything opposite of you. We have to remember to expand our minds, to understand that judging is a part of who we are naturally, but that we can overcome it by being consciously tolerant of differences.

Clean Water Act at 40: Rivers No Longer Burn but Climate Threats and Runoff Now Rush In

The landmark environmental law has spurred significant progress but the nation's waterways now are threatened by sea-level rise and ocean acidification?unknown in 1972

Cuyahoga River in Ohio A fire on the oil-polluted Cuyahoga River in Ohio in 1952 was one of several US environmental crises that triggered the creation of the Clean Water Act of 1972. Image: Bettmann/CORBIS

When the United States? landmark Clean Water Act (CWA) was signed into law in 1972, the nation's waterways and coastlines were in crisis. Oily debris in the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland, Ohio, had notoriously caught fire several times. The southernmost of North America's Great Lakes, Lake Erie, had been pronounced dead or dying. Fish in Californian coastal waters were so laced with the pesticide DDT that it disrupted the reproductive systems of brown pelicans, threatening them with extinction.

Forty years and billions of dollars later, rivers no longer burn, Lake Erie is much healthier and pelicans are off the endangered species list. But much remains to be done, scientists said yesterday at the North American meeting of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry in Long Beach, California.

In part, that is because many of today's water problems, such as sea-level rise and ocean acidification, were not known in 1972. "That's going to require other legislation," said Gerald McGowen, manager of a wastewater treatment lab for the City of Los Angeles in California.

But even within the scope of the CWA ? which is often described in terms of achieving ?swimmable, fishable? waters ? progress has been mixed. On the plus side, McGowen said at the meeting, sewage-related pollutants in southern California's coastal waters have been greatly reduced, even though the region's human population has nearly doubled since 1970, and DDT levels in fish have fallen to the point at which most are safe for human (and bird) consumption.

    Slow progress
Farther north, California's San Francisco Bay isn't faring so well. "In the past 20 years, progress has slowed," said Jay Davis, an environmental scientist at the San Francisco Estuary Institute in Richmond, California. Partly, the problem has been invasive species that cause harm to the environment, economy or health ? another concern not covered by the original CWA. But conventional pollutants remain an issue. "We've attained the goals for many things ? dissolved oxygen, silver, priority pollutants like arsenic and cadmium," Davis said in his presentation. "But there are many others that are likely to be problems."

Two are methylmercury and polychlorinated biphenyls, or PCBs. "There's a huge reservoir of these contaminants in the Bay," Davis said.

When the CWA was passed, the primary concerns were 'point sources' of pollution: sewage plants and other easily recognizable sources such as industrial facilities. "They dominated in almost everything," McGowen said. Now, the main concern is runoff water that drains from urban and agricultural sources. "We have not made the progress there," he said.

    Runoff risk
One way of attempting to deal with such pollution is to pipe storm water farther out to sea before discharging it. But when the resort town of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, tried just that early this century, there was essentially no improvement in beach conditions, said Marc Verhougstraete, a postdoctoral fellow and water-quality expert at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Instead, pollutants including human and animal fecal bacteria simply washed back towards the beach.

A better approach, scientists suggest, is to prevent polluted storm water from reaching the ocean in the first place. In California, McGowen said, this is done using 'low-flow diversions' in which, during the dry season, runoff is diverted to wastewater treatment plants. "Ninety-five percent of beaches in southern California are safe to swim at in those periods," McGowen said.

During the wet season, such diversions are not practical because they would overload the treatment plants. Instead, storm water can be diverted into catch basins: ?someplace where it can percolate into the ground?, McGowen explained. That can be done by holding the water in cisterns or using planted 'rain gardens' that slow runoff and let water filter into soil ? even small ones, such as planted areas on pavements, can help. ?It's cheaper than trying to collect all of that water at the end of the stream,? Verhougstraete said.

(AP) ? Former Disney CEO Michael Eisner is getting back in the movie business.

The 70-year-old said Tuesday that the media company he founded, The Tornante Company, will finance films that will be distributed by Comcast Corp.'s Universal Pictures.

The distribution deal will likely help Tornante raise outside financing.

There is no set number of films in the multi-year deal. Universal has similar arrangements with several production companies, including producer Joel Silver's Silver Pictures. This year, those arrangements resulted in just one film, "Pitch Perfect," which came out in September and grossed $62.6 million worldwide.

Eisner built a reputation at Disney, and at Paramount Pictures before that, for backing mid-budget films with recognizable actors and well-written scripts such as "Terms of Endearment" (1983), "Saturday Night Fever" (1977) and "Ruthless People" (1986).

He was CEO of The Walt Disney Co. from 1984 to 2005.

"Michael Eisner has been a powerful creative force behind some of the world's greatest films and we're confident that with Tornante, he'll continue that tradition," said Universal's co-chairs, Adam Fogelson and Donna Langley, in a statement.

Another Eisner company, Vuguru, has made shows for audiences online and overseas, including "The Booth at the End," a drama about a mysterious wish-granting man who sits in a diner. It plays on online video service Hulu.

David Petraeus' paramour, Paula Broadwell. She serves as an unpaid social liaison to MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, where the military's Central Command and Special Operations Command are located. (AP Photo/Chris O'Meara)

(AP) ? If you were to diagram the increasingly tangled sex scandal surrounding former CIA Director David Petraeus, nearly all lines would lead back to one person: Jill Kelley, a 37-year-old Tampa socialite who hosted parties for the nation's top military brass.

Kelley's complaint about anonymous, threatening email triggered the FBI investigation that led to Petraeus' downfall. And now she is at the center of an investigation of the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan over alleged "inappropriate communications" between the two.

Kelley is a close friend of the Petraeus family, and photographs circulating in the media show the dark-haired woman posing for pictures at parties with Petraeus, his wife, and her husband, Scott, a cancer surgeon. She served as a sort of unofficial social ambassador for U.S. Central Command in Tampa, holding gatherings for the general when he was commander there from 2008 to 2010.

She also met Gen. John Allen while he was at Central Command, and now investigators are looking at 20,000-plus pages of documents and emails between Kelley and Allen, some of which have been described as "flirtatious." The general has denied any wrongdoing.

For her part, Kelley has taken a low profile since Petraeus' affair with his biographer, Paula Broadwell, became public. The Kelleys have hired Washington lawyer Abbe Lowell, who has represented corrupt lobbyist Jack Abramoff and former presidential candidate John Edwards. Lowell did not immediately return a call.

On Tuesday, Kelley could be seen through the large windows of her South Tampa home, a stately two-story brick house with a half-dozen white columns and a manicured lawn. In the driveway was a silver Mercedes with a license plate marked "Honorary Counsel." Kelley's identical twin sister, Natalie Khawam, a lawyer, also lives at the home.

In the afternoon, Kelley, wearing dark sunglasses, left through the front door and ignored reporters' questions as she drove off in the Mercedes.

South Tampa has a conservative Southern upper class, with big houses, big bank accounts, garden clubs and wives who pride themselves on volunteer work. MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., headquarters to Central Command, is a big deal in the community, in part because a lot of the brass lives or socializes in South Tampa. Helping members of the military is a major volunteer activity in the community.

Former Mayor Pam Iorio said that she went to several parties to benefit the military at the Kelleys' home, and they drew MacDill's top brass, including Petraeus. But they were by far not the only parties held around the city for MacDill's officers.

"Our community's relationship with MacDill is just multi-faceted," said Iorio, who later invited the Petraeuses over to her own home for dinner. "It's something that is generational. People sincerely care about the military."

Ken Walters, a neighbor who is known for hosting a Frank Sinatra-themed party each year, called the Kelleys good friends and said he went to a party the couple had to celebrate their first son's baptism. The Kelleys have two other children.

"Natalie and her sister, they're certainly not shrinking violets," he said. Walters recalled that when the sisters first entered the South Tampa social scene, they "rubbed people the wrong way. I think they probably stepped on a couple of toes."

Petraeus' affair with Broadwell was discovered after Kelley told an FBI agent friend that she had received email warning her to stay away from Petraeus. The email turned out to be from Broadwell, who apparently regarded Kelley as a rival for Petraeus' affections. Kelley's family and Petraeus aides have said Petraeus and Kelley were just friends.

In another strange footnote to the scandal, long before the case involving Petraeus got under way, the FBI agent had sent Kelley shirtless photos of himself, according to a federal law enforcement official.

Kelley's brother, David Khawam, told WPVI-TV in Philadelphia on Monday night that details of the allegations surged fast.

"It's a shock. We're trying to figure out where the pieces are falling right now," he said in an interview at his office in Westmont, N.J.

He said that his family left Lebanon for suburban Philadelphia's Huntingdon Valley in the 1970s to escape the turmoil and fighting in their homeland. His parents opened a Middle Eastern food restaurant in Vorhees, N.J., called Sahara.

"My family is very patriotic; we came from Lebanon at a young age," he said.

Kelley later married and moved to Florida with her husband, who works at a cancer clinic.

Kelley regularly kept in touch with Petraeus when he became commander of the Afghanistan war, the two exchanging near-daily emails and instant messages, two of his former staffers said. But those messages were exchanged in accounts that his aides monitored as part of their duties and were not romantic in tone, the staffers said.

Jill and Scott Kelley have been involved in at least nine legal actions since arriving in Tampa, according to court records. Most of them involve real estate transactions, including one foreclosure and an $11,000 judgment against the couple in a Pennsylvania case.

In another twist in the scandal, court records indicate that Petraeus and Allen intervened two months ago in a messy custody dispute on behalf of Jill Kelley's sister. Both four-star generals wrote letters supporting Natalie Khawam in her custody battle.

The judge in the case awarded Khawam's ex-husband custody last year of their son. He also called Khawam dishonest and lacking in integrity.

Flycaster Brewing Co. is Melding Two Passions ? Beer and Flyfishing

    Flycaster Brewing Co. Logo

Trying not to date myself but the last time I saw Jeremy Eubanks was probably just after we both graduated from Kamiakin High School in 1996. 16 years later Jeremy is in the process of opening up Flycaster Brewing Co. in Bothell, WA. As excited as I was to hear this news, I had to know how he got started, so I sent Jeremy a couple questions regarding his new adventure into the brewmaster lifestyle.

    ?

First off give us a quick back-history of Flycaster Brewing Co.?
Jeremy Eubanks: When I moved to Seattle after graduating from Eastern Washington University, I quickly fell into love with all the micro-breweries in the Seattle area, and not just for the beer. Each brewery has great beer, but each is unique in its own way in terms of history, food and atmosphere. When I decided to go back to graduate school I focused everything around opening a micro-brewery back in the Tri-Cities because our family goal was to move back home, but things didn?t pan out quite that way. So after a couple more years of working the corporate world I decided it was time to give it a shot before I never got the chance to do it. So in July we started doing all the business planning for Seattle and the wife let me spend some money on real expensive brew equipment.

How did you come up with the Flycaster name?
JE: I have fly fished most of my life and its my one true personal hobby. Over the years as I have traveled to go fly fishing (Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and Montana) micro-brews have always been a part of that experience. There is something about fishing all day long and then going to have a good beer that makes it perfect.

How many years have you been working on the perfect beer?
JE: I have been home brewing for about 12 years now. Learning how to brew a good beer takes time, but getting to know what a good beer really tastes like takes more time. I finally am producing beer that I really like and want to share with people.

How would you describe your Bonefish Blonde? Rocky Ford IPA? Hopper Pale Ale?

    • Bonefish Blonde ? it?s a clear, crisp, and light bodied pale ale. Its something that you can drink on hot summer days and not feel full like you do with some other micro brews.
    • ?Rocky Ford IPA ? this is named after one of the streams where I learned how to fly fish in central Washington. It?s a clear, crisp, and a very hoppy India Pale Ale. If you like hops, this is the one for you.
    • Hopper Pale Ale ? living in Seattle you have a lot of grey rainy days, this is the standard beer for those days and is kind of the ?go to? beer when you can?t decide. Its an America Style Pale ale.

    ?

How do you come up with the names for your different types of beers?
JE: Each name is based off a Fly Fishing location or experience. My hope is that other fly fisherman or even regular fisherman will be able to relate to the beers for one of their own fishing experiences.

If someone like me(hint, hint) wanted to start brewing beer what?s the most important thing I should know?
JE: Get started! It actually doesn?t take much to start brewing. It does take time and some cash to get a batch of beer going. Also, there are a lot of classes you can go to where you can watch someone else do the whole process before you begin. You would be amazed on how many books, classes, and magazines are out there for a rookie home brewer.

What?s your ultimate goal for Flycaster Brewing Co.?
JE: The ultimate goal for Flycaster Brewing Co. is to have a brewpub where we serve food and offer a relaxing lodgy environment that is family friendly. We want a place where you can come to and enjoy a cold glass of beer, a bite to eat and some good conversation about ?the one that got away?.

mosydavid: richa.singh: Business and Financial News - parch extirpate

The news sure isn't what it used to be, in fact, I am even amazed at some of the stuff that I hear on the TV Financial news, as commentators give it their best guess on potential solutions to solve the economic crisis. All these notions about too big to fail, nationalizing banks and having the government decide who gets paid how much is just a lot of hot air.

Indeed, I feel embarrassed for some of the news reporters as they misspeak on issues surrounding capitalism. You know, maybe we ought to tell our news reporters that they cannot comment on business matters unless they had once run a business? I mean anyone can get a nice haircut, nice suit and smile for the camera with a little make-up and a complete make-over. Heck, why is it that anyone who can read a teleprompter is assumed to know what he's talking about, come on already.

We live in the most powerful and greatest nation on Earth, it is by far and away the most awesome country ever created in human history. Why you ask? Simple, one word actually, it's called; Capitalism. And it's just amazing that no one gets it. Maybe a re-read of Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged is in order for all those news commentators and newspaper reporters who love to take a jab or make a persnickety comment in their otherwise shallow news stories.

And why is it that the editors of these TV News programs, newspapers and radio segments allow this nonsense to be played on the air, why It's pure opinion and it's not based on anything. Socialism doesn't work, communism is a dead end (literally) and we've proven capitalism pushes people, society and civilization up. Next time you hear someone on TV or read an article in the newspaper trashing capitalism, consider the source. There is someone who has never once had to make a payroll.

Hive security camera recruits your friends, family to make home ...

The selling point behind the Hive security camera isn't high-definition video or gapless 24/7 surveillance. Instead, it's been developed based on the premise that your community, friends, and family care about your home as much as they do their own. To get the most from the $99 system ? $149 with 12 months of web services included ? users can establish a trusted group of people to receive alerts when the camera detects unexpected (or unwelcome) motion. Alerts can be sent out via phone call, text message, email, and can also take on the form of notifications on Facebook or Twitter.

More eyes could mean a quicker response in an emergency

This "neighborhood watch" approach relies on a tiered system of administrators, activators (those who would arm Hive when leaving the house) and watchers. That last group is made up of anyone you'd entrust to watch over your home. When an alert is triggered, they'll be able to watch footage of the movement that triggered it and respond accordingly. Hive's apps for iOS and Android will inform you of problems at locations in your Hive network, providing video and shortcuts for making emergency calls should the need arise. In the interest of privacy, those in your network won't be able to simply peer into your house at all times; they'll only be granted viewing privileges in response to alerts.

You'll want a reliable internet connection

Hive isn't meant for 24/7 streaming ? the company suggests you stick to pricier security cameras for that ? but the system will provide brief on-demand clips if you'd to get a quick idea of what's going on at home. Naturally, loss of connectivity could prove a concern for a device so reliant on the web, but Hive says its camera can record an unspecified amount of video locally in the event of a disruption. It can also be configured to fall back on wireless networks of nearby neighbors assuming you've shared passwords.

The most important part of any security system is often the camera itself, but we'd need some more time with Hive before reaching any conclusions. The company claims this small white (or orange) orb will run for an entire year on just two AA batteries. Apparently Hive's "proprietary, ground-breaking" Wi-Fi technology makes that incredible longevity possible, but we still have a hard time buying it. And as we hinted earlier, video quality leaves something to be desired: footage tops out at SVGA resolution, which looked enough in sample footage of well-lit areas but could be problematic for anyone using the device's night mode. Pre-orders for Hive start today with shipping slated to commence in January.

(AP) ? Greece's international creditors are proposing granting the country two more years to meet its debt reduction targets as the country enters its sixth consecutive year of recession, according to a draft document obtained by The Associated Press Monday.

But the draft memorandum of understanding lacked crucial specifics on how much additional assistance the country would need and how that shortfall should be addressed, just as the finance ministers from the 17 countries that use the euro gathered in Brussels to discuss Greece's situation.

The country's so-called "troika" of creditors ? the European Central Bank, the European Commission and the International Monetary Fund ? has already pledged ?240 billion ($305 billion) in bailout loans to keep Greece afloat while Athens implements reforms and austerity measures to get its finances in order.

Greece is waiting for the next ?31.5 billion ($40 billion) installment of its bailout loan before it faces a bond repayment Friday that it may not be able to afford without the tranche, and it has passed a series of reforms this week to meet the conditions of the loan. But in recent months, it has become clear that country's bailout program is way off track, and deep disagreements persist among its creditors on how to right it.

The main aim of the bailout program is to get Greece back to a point where it no longer relies on international aid and can raise money on the debt markets. It has been given a deadline of 2020 to slash its debt to 120 percent of its economic output to achieve this goal. Current projections, however, suggest Greece is nowhere near reaching that target.

The Greek government therefore has been asking its creditors for more time so that it can become self-sufficient without inflicting yet greater damage on its ailing economy. The country is currently mired in a deep recession heading into its sixth year, with more than a quarter of Greeks unemployed.

"The two-year extension of the adjustment period will mitigate the impact on the economy, while securing a sustainable fiscal position," the draft document stated.

Jean-Claude Juncker, who chairs the group of eurozone finance ministers, said Greece's creditors have prepared a "positive" report assessing Greece's progress, but acknowledged that it was not complete.

As it stands, however, the report doesn't address the crucial question of Greece's debt sustainability. Many analysts have said a two-year extension to the debt reduction target could require as much as ?30 billion in fresh assistance, or granting Greece a reduction in what it owes ? meaning its eurozone creditors will have to agree to take losses on some of their loans.

French Finance Minister Pierre Moscovici and other ministers declined to comment on whether their countries would agree to wipe out some of the debt they hold as they headed into the meeting in Brussels.

Whatever the outcome of Monday's talks, no final decision on giving Greece the ?31.5 billion loan will be made because some eurozone parliaments must approve the deal first.

Lawmakers in Germany said a vote could be held next week.

32GB Nexus 7 can be yours for ?180 from UK high street retailers

    Android Central

Despite having only just been made officially official, for UK Nexus 7 buyers savings can already be had on the new 32GB version. 2 different high street retailers are currently offering Google's 7 inch tablet for £179.99, £20 below list price.

First up is Comet. While our thoughts are with each and every member of staff in these uncertain times the chain finds itself in, the result of the company's difficulties is a liquidation sale. While the majority of stock is reduced by a modest 10%, on a 32GB Nexus 7 that equates to a £20 saving. The sale only applies in store, and while stocks last. Our local branch still had them for sale though, so it's worth a look.

Rival retailer, Currys PCWorld, is also offering the Nexus 7 32GB for £179.99 after £20 cashback. Here though, the offer applies only when the tablet is bought with any case from their offering. But, since you're going to want to look after it, it's not a bad deal to be had. The saving would almost completely pay for an official Nexus 7 Travel Cover, should that be your desired choice.
