Get A Look At The New Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Your first chance to see the 2012-13 Yale men's hockey team is Saturday at 5 p.m. at Ingalls Rink. The Bulldogs, whose official practices began last Friday, have a Blue-White event on Oct. 20 that does not require a ticket.

The Yale players, led by captain Andrew Miller (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.), begin their warm-up routine at 5 p.m. and go Blue vs. White soon after.

The Elis, coming off a 16-16-3 campaign last winter, will showcase eight newcomers who could make an impact this season. Five forwards and three defensemen joined the squad this fall.

Miller, an All-ECAC forward, is one of the best passers in the history of the Yale program. He has 91 assists (115 points) in 104 career games. Miller (7-29-36), senior Antoine Laganiere (Ile Cadieux, Que., 19-14-33) and junior Kenny Agostino (Flanders, N.J.., 14-20-34) are the leading returning point producers from 2011-12.

The Yale blueline is headed by senior Colin Dueck (Calgary, Alb.), junior Gus Young (Dedham, Mass.) and sophomore Tommy Fallen (Plymouth, Minn.), who was the team's rookie of the year in 2011-12.

The Blue has a pair of seniors, Nick Maricic (Alta Loma, Calif.) and Jeff Malcolm (Lethbridge, Alb.), and sophomore Connor Wilson (Cary, N.C.) competing for time in the net. Malcolm had three shutouts and a scoreless streak of 226:39 in 2011-12.
